Maison de Kerdoret® was born from the mind and hands of a passionate about original and rare swimsuits.
Our story begins in March 2020 during the global lockdown following the Covid-19 pandemic. Our founder, Sandrine de KERDORET left her job in finance in New York to return home to Guadeloupe (an archipelago in the French-speaking West Indies).
During this confinement, she decided to start crocheting again, something she had learned when she was 7 years old with her mother but had not practiced since. She remembered the pink woolen skirt and headband she had made for her Barbie. She had always loved designing clothes from a young age.
Growing up she discovered a passion for swimwear, a passion satisfied by the many fast-fashion sites for many years. But in March 2020 everything changed, she realized that her favorite sites had been taken over by consumers and that now everyone was wearing the same swimsuits as her!
So she decided to create one for herself, a unique model that she would be the only one to wear proudly at the beach. She shared this goal on Twitter and had PHENOMENAL support!
This is how the adventure began.
Demands for making swimwear grew and the hobby turned into a full-time job.
But that wasn't enough for Sandrine, she wanted something more, original swimsuits that would be real jewels. In order to create unique pieces in which you feel beautiful and sexy rather than simple swimsuits.
